Flash Presentations During the CNS Annual Conference
CNS 2026 Poster Program
Once again, CNS will have 3-minute Flash Presentations as part of the Poster/Abstract Program during the 2026 Annual Conference. These presentations offer graduate student members with eligible abstracts the opportunity to showcase their research to interested delegates. Note: Only abstracts entered into the Nutrition Graduate Student and Trainee Award are eligible for Flash Presentations.
Three Flash Presentation sessions will be scheduled throughout the conference, and presenters will be notified of their assigned date and time a few weeks prior to the event.
Presenting authors must register for and attend the full conference in person.
1. Presentation Format
- Each Flash Presentation is limited to 3 minutes.
- Presenters may use up to three slides in their presentation and will be required to upload this presentation to the CNS Virtual Poster Expo to allow delegates to view presentations online during and following the conference. Presenters have the option of also uploading a short (1-3 minute) video summarizing their research.
- Flash presentations will not be judged, and there is no Q&A session.
- Presenters are encouraged to invite interested delegates for further discussion in a designated meeting area following their presentation, or during standard Poster viewing periods.
2. On-site Display:
- Printed Poster (Optional): You may bring a printed poster to display on a dedicated board for a limited time after your presentation.
- QR Code (Optional): You can include a QR code linking to your online poster or presentation (in the virtual expo), either integrated into your printed poster or on a separate 8.5” x 11” page.
3. Expressing Interest in a Flash Presentation:
- Abstracts entered into the Nutrition Graduate Student and Trainee Award can be considered for a Flash Presentation. If your abstract is eligible, indicate your interest in a Flash Presentation by checking the appropriate box on the Abstract Submission Form (coming soon)
- Interest must be indicated at the time of the abstract submission and cannot be added afterward.
4. Selection Process:
- Between 30 and 45 Flash Presentations will be selected from abstracts eligible for awards.
- A balanced selection will be made across the Basic Research, Clinical, and Public Health/Regulatory categories.
- Dates, times, and locations of the presentations will be included in the conference program.
- Late-breaking abstracts are not eligible.
