Dr. Irene Ogada is an Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Human Nutrition at Mount Saint Vincent University, and a registered dietitian. She is passionate about community-led inquiry, action, and transformation, and collaborates with local and international researchers and policymakers to understand the intersections of health policy, (in)equity and maternal and child nutrition. She has received grants to advance her research on nutrition during pregnancy, early childhood, and early school years, with a recent focus on newcomer communities. Dr. Ogada holds a PhD (Food, Nutrition & Dietetics) from Kenyatta University, Kenya.
